well, this is what happens when you push someone’s mental so hard after being heartbroken : you Kickstart the heart of the Demon within.

So, you basically get a character who’s a bad walking anime cliche.

Sol, shut up.

If you don’t like this, please just leave.

Oh, so the classic “Whaaaa…Don’t like don’t read” BS? Yeah, you sir can take that cockroach of an argument, roll up sooo tight and then shove it where it belongs.

You sound like someone who isn’t happy. You should find something that makes you happy. Clearly this webcomic isn’t making you happy.

No, what I’m “not happy” with is the fact that currently we have a story plot revolving around a character which I hate, who has NO redeeming factors what’s so ever, and I’m forced to care for her “drama” and the fact she also has super hidden Ninja powers with a hidden dark side, which turn her into an annoying anime cliche.

The “Miles is bad and immature and needs to grow up” story arc over at Las Lindas annoyed the absolute shit out of me, so I can understand where you’re coming from with not liking Rei. I like Miles, I think he gets unfairly shit on, and to rub salt in the wound he’s expected by everyone around him to “grow up” without anyone acknowledging the growth he’s already made. And some of the characters had flaws leagues worse than anything he’s done and they were acting like they were better than him, some while still having those flaws. It was dumb, it was stupid, it was bullshit. So believe me when I tell you that I understand. And I don’t much care for Rei, either. She’s a selfish bitch.

But the way you’re posting about it is very childish. You don’t like the trope. We get it. That’s fine. You don’t have to like it. But you’re being a crybaby about it. As far as overdone tropes go, it’s one of the better ones.

Yup, the plot got worse. I did a review on page # 416 of this same comic about that comic is worse than “Las Lindas”, so if someone wants to read it so know what I think of all this do it if they want. Regarding this page, all I can say is that disappointed Mistergodai used the same bullshit of multiple personalities in which one of them is usually evil, sadistic and other bad things. Blah, blah, who cares.

First of all, you are making an assumption here. We do not know for certain that this is a multiple personality situation. The “curse” could be supernatural in nature. Personally, I am withholding judgement until more gets revealed. I’m not saying you are wrong, just that you’ve jumped to a conclusion without all the proper evidence.

Second, you’ve made a mistake in this review and in the last one that could have been fixed by simple proofreading and/or attention to detail. The artist’s ‘name’ is Mastergodai, not Mistergodai. And the one fighting Reiko is Issy, not Izzy. By getting simple things such as names wrong, it makes me wonder how much attention you’ve paid to the details of this webcomic.

Throughout the fucking comic it was said that the curse of Reiko was something figurative because she can not use the berserker mode without losing the head, as the case of Unit Evangelion 01 in the series of anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, for example. And NOW I’m supposed to swallow the fact that Reiko’s curse was real? What the fuck?!

2- “Second, you’ve made a mistake in this review and in the last one that could have been fixed by simple proofreading and/or attention to detail. The artist’s ‘name’ is Mastergodai, not Mistergodai. First. If your criticism of me and my comment on this page as in the previous one is what you wrote, I would advise you to try harder because it clearly is not enough. Second. Are you really going to reject everything I mentioned earlier on page 416 in this comic just because I wrote the name “Issy” with “z” instead of “s”? Wow, that’s the most pathetic excuse I’ve read so far of someone who has been intent on defending this comic book so far. Third. I wrote the name of the author of the comic as “mister” instead of “master” not because I was wrong but because I refuse to call him master knowing that he does not deserve it. I wish you luck in your next criticism of me, although not much. Greetings.

1) It’s a classic misdirection. If people think it’s all in her head, then many will accept it and not probe into it too deeply. Until someone does and everything goes FUBAR. It has been, and still is, a classic literary tool. If this is MasterGodai’s plan, then your reaction shows he has executed it well.

2) Maybe it’s just the fact that I have a B.A. in Creative Writing, but when I read anything that has errors in it, I focus more on the errors than what the writer is trying to get across. And this goes for anything. Critique, comic, novel, even signs for events or yard sales. So I was not defending the comic with that comment per se, merely offering advice to you on being taken more seriously.

But not calling someone by the name they have been given or have chosen is juvenile at best. It’s similar to a playground bully saying “Is little Tommy gonna cry?” to try and break down or humiliate a kid named Thomas. And once again, you make an assumption. Perhaps he means “Master” in the archaic sense of a relatively young, unmarried male. It has been used as “Miss” is to refer to a relatively young, unmarried female. Old fashioned? Surely. But not completely out of favor or practice.

Do you know the difference between Naruto and this piece of shit that dares to be considered as a comic? At the beginning of the series of anime Naruto was said what was the situation of the main character of that series, that is to say Naruto. Naruto’s situation was simple; had sealed in his body a Bijū, more precisely to the legendary Fox of the Nine Tails. The reason for that, too, was simple; that beast had attacked the Village Hidden in the Leaves, and many people died because of that. To stop that Bijū they used a powerful spell to that way to seal it inside Naruto when it was a baby to stop to this beast. I’m not going to say what happened next with Naruto, because you should probably know, so let’s continue. Reiko on the other hand was born with that special ability, which is berserker mode, and is the same as Jazmin, as well as his mother, except that her is more dangerous. So how the fuck does that explanation, which you just give, make more sense than what had been shown much earlier in this comic? How? This is not one of those twists similar to those that M. Night Shyamalan has accustomed us to, in some of his movies that can be funny, whether intentional or not. This is comic should be better than “Las Lindas” and, instead, turned out to be a bit worse than the second. That’s pretty sad. So how the fuck does that explanation, which you just give, make more sense than what had been shown much earlier in this comic? How? Sorry for repeating the same thing but I really want an answer, not an evasive one.

2) Maybe it’s just the fact that I have a B.A. in Creative Writing, but when I read anything that has errors in it, I focus more on the errors than what the writer is trying to get across. Okay. And what does that have to do with what you said in point two with this?

But not calling someone by the name they have been given or have chosen is juvenile at best. It’s similar to a playground bully saying “Is little Tommy gonna cry?” to try and break down or humiliate a kid named Thomas. And once again, you make an assumption. Perhaps he means “Master” in the archaic sense of a relatively young, unmarried male. It has been used as “Miss” is to refer to a relatively young, unmarried female. Old fashioned? Surely. But not completely out of favor or practice.

So what? Is it just that? Is that the best you can tell me about it? Do not you have some constructive criticism about what’s going on with Reiko right now to taratar from throwing down what I said earlier? Is that the best thing you can do? What a disappointment.

Point 2 should be self-explanatory. You are trying to equate my attempts to showcase what is technically wrong with your posts with defending Reiko. Let me be clear. Again. Point 2 has nothing to do with the comic. It has everything to do with how you present yourself in this discussion. By attempting to connect it to the comic when I have said repeatedly that it is not is merely an attempt to seize on any “points” that you can to try and discredit me.

As for Point 1, I am very familiar with Naruto, but your analogy is flawed. In Naruto, the adults all knew that he was the Jinchūriki of the Kyuubi no Kitsune. And even though they were forbidden to tell the younger generation about it, The children picked up on how they treated Naruto so they did it themselves. So the children’s ignorance was tainted by the adults’ actions.

Here, we are told only that she was born with it and that in the past it hurt Skye so was sealed away. They call it berserker mode, and say it’s in her head, but is it true? Kyoko knows, maybe Jasmine. But maybe the true knowledge of it was sealed from Reiko as well. We don’t know. And you can’t point to anything in the comic that disputes this.

Let’s look at the word “berserker”. It’s a word from the Vikings to describe a group of men who fought supposedly without feeling pain and with heightened resistance to weaponry of all kinds. To reach their frenzied state, a combination of an unknown drug plus a manic dance brought forth the bloodlust. But the key point is that the drug and the dance invited the spirit of an animal (usually a bear) to give them strength in battle. So technically, a berserker mode should be strictly a case of possession.

I actually think you should ask a different question: What does Naruto and this current plot involving Rei have incommen? Simple, they are both garbage and both are revolving around annoying characters, whom we for some reason should give a damn as a reader.

So, you think that this whole comic is bad? Or that it’s needs to be tweaked in some places?

Mistergodai, who is
actually Mastergodai but I call it that for mere fancy, literally create
a plot hole within another plot hole. And frankly, I did not think that would be possible, but Mistergodai did, so why should I care so much about this? If
you want to read my review about everything this situation is going
through Reiko, and other things, read what I wrote on page # 416 of
Rascals. Greetings.

I mean, I’ve read it, and you did make some good points, but do you think that this comic is utter garbage? Or does it still have a chance? I don’t agree with you, but I do respect your opinion,’cause we need more of that these days.

Most of the stuff revolving around Reiko and her friends is supposed to be explained in a bonus comic, but that bonus comic hasn’t been completed nor have I seen any new pages for it in a while. But magic does exist in this world, though it’s low fantasy magic, it’s not all powerful, since someone that is modified with tech can take on a person modified with magic on an equal footing. So… meh. Also, I like this comic, I don’t come to comics for premier top of the line literature… that’s like going to a fast food restaurant and asking for a five star steak.. it’s not going to happen. This isn’t a light novel either, it’s a webcomic, all webcomics have problems that are in common with well, all comics really. I have seen similar plotholes to what you point out in comics made by companies with much larger budgets, time, and resources. If you are this critical of a web comic series, then you are a shit reviewer.

Oh noooooos, a Rick and Morty fan who doesn’t know how NOT to click on a link leading to a website they don’t like.

Here’s some simple advice that works in the real world, don’t like, don’t read.

Simple.

Just don’t come here, just don’t read and just don’t post here because YOU don’t like it.

Brat.

SSJ3 anybody?~ X3

…And now as dictated by cliche the possessed Rei must go around causing generic havoc and destruction, easily beating all newcomers in an overt display of strength and torturing one or more opponents physically and/or psychologically until a cast member gets Rei to ‘snap out of it’ just long enough for mommy to reseal the demon/spirit/oni/plot device. Yay.

Why can’t possessing evil spirits just go on a hedonistic spree? Like, screwing anything that walks and eating tubs and tubs of ice cream…

…Wait a minute.

She has the POWER! #Heman
Her power level is over 9,000!!! #DragonBallZ

Okay, now that I got those two off my chest, this is freaking awesome! I just adore the reactions from each person. I can see this going down to a battle royale. I just feel bad for Issy as I’m getting the feeling that her curiosity is going to kill that fine cat.

Um… I have a question…
Who is the purple girl with the orange hair? She reminds me of Swoop from one of Mastergodai’s other webcomics. I wish I could remember its name right now (it’s been too long, I guess…). Anyhow… I understand everyone else’s reaction, but who is she, and how is she linked to Reiko’s…condition?

I think it is Swoop. I mean, I could be wrong.

I remember now! The webcomic is KNUCKLE UP! And yes, that could be Swoop. But how would Swoop be involved in this situation that she get’s a cameo in this picture? I don’t recall seeing Swoop anywhere around when Rei was telling Liona what happened with Nick’s arms.

LOL You need to brush up on your Rascals lore, dude. In canon, KnuckleUP is just a TV show. The real name of the girl who plays Swoop is Leena. She’s an old classmate of Kyoko from their younger days at Godai Academy, and so she obviously has considerable skill in ninjitsu and martial arts. The reason she’s here is probably because she was likely present the first time Reiko’s inner oni demon came out, and witnessed Kyoko seal it away.

I’m guessing the reason she’s in this page is because she’s somewhere in the area, and she (like Nick and Skye) can feel the presence of the oni demon’s energy now that it’s awakened again.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I had forgotten that Paige works as an actress in that (along with her twin brother). It makes sense now. With that in mind, she’ll probably lend a hand in dealing with the situation. I fear everyone will need all the help they can get. I shudder to think who will end up getting seriously injured this time…

And it’s nice to see more cameos. I miss Knuckle Up. And the other one that Nick’s sister is in, too. She’s not an actress. She has an actual job in a specific police squad.
